Using the iHM3
Thank you for purchasing the iHM3. Designed to work with
your iPod/MP3 player or any audio device, this system provides
high quality audio and that invites your music to come out and
play. Please read the instructions carefully before operating the
unit and keep for future reference.
Installing/Replacing Batteries
1. Push to open the battery compartment door located on
the bottom of the unit.
2. Insert 4 “AAA” (LR3) batteries (included), checking that the
+ and – ends of the batteries match the drawing inside the
battery compartment. We recommend the use of alkaline
batteries for longer life.
3. Close the compartment cover.
For Best Performance
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable
batteries.
Make sure you dispose of batteries properly (see your local
regulations).
Using an AC Adaptor (not included)
Connect a 7.5 volt-rated positive center AC adaptor cable plug
into the DC power jack on the back of the unit, then plug the
AC adaptor into a wall outlet. When connected to the AC
adaptor, the iHM3 lets you play your iPod/MP3 player or other
audio device without batteries. The iHM3 does NOT charge
your iPod.
Listening to an iPod/MP3 player or other audio device
1. Plug one end of the audio patchcord (included) into the
headphone or Line-out Jack on your device and the other
end of the patchcord into the iHM3 Line-in Jack, located
on the back of the unit. Pull out the cradle at the base of
the unit and place iPod on it.
2. Turn on your iPod/MP3 player or other audio device, press
play and set desired volume.
3. Switch the mode button located on the top of the unit to
ON (or to SRS TruBass if you want more bass).
4. Remember to turn unit OFF when not in use to save
batteries. To extend battery life, play unit without SRS
TruBass feature.
Maintenance
Place the unit away from sources of direct sunlight or
excessive heat.
Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural
wood and lacquered finish.
Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild
soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzine,
thinner or similar materials can mar the surface.
